Press Releases / Dublin and Glendalough Parishes Win General Synod Communications Awards


Church of Ireland LogoWebsites and parish newsletters from parishes in Dublin and Glendalough were amongst those recognised at the annual Church of Ireland Communications Awards presented during the proceedings of the General Synod by the Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Revd Alan Harper.

The Glendalough parish of Castledermot and Kinneagh with Narraghmore and Timolin won the best parish magazine or newsletter category with their publication, Four Churches-One Parish. The Dublin parish of Taney was also highly commended in the same category for their publication, Taney News. Taney was also runner up in the best Parish website category. The Taney parish website is accessible here .

In the new technologies category, one of the clergy of the Diocese, the Revd Canon Patrick Comerford won the prize for his blog which is accessible here .

The Dublin and Glendalough Diocesan Website was runner up to the Down and Dromore Diocesan Website in the best Diocesan website category.
