Press Releases / Search Colloquium on End of Life Issues

Issues surrounding euthanasia and assisted dying continue to hit the headlines, provoking strong feelings on all sides. It is said that most people, including many regular church-goers, support legislation for voluntary euthanasia. Most theologians, however, do not. Search Logo

In this one-day Colloquium organised by Search and the Chaplaincy of Trinity College Dublin the theological case on both sides will be made by two of the top experts in this area in the UK – Robin Gill of Kent University and Paul Badham of Lampeter, whose Is There a Christian Case for Assisted Dying? was published early this year.

The Colloquium will take place on Satruday 20 June 2009 in the Jonathan Swift Theatre, Trinity College Dublin.
