Launch of ‘Where the Stones Sing’ by Eithne Massey at Christ Church Cathedral

A new novel by well–known childrens’ author, Eithne Massey, was launched on Saturday 15 October 2011 by Dr Emer O’Sullivan of the Institute of English Studies at Leuphana University of Lüneburg in the crypt of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.

The book, published by the O’Brien Press, started out as an idea from members of the Friends of Christ Church Cathedral to provide inspiration for children to visit the cathedral, relates the story of Kai, a street urchin, plucked from his life outside the walls
of the cathedral to sing in the choir just as the plauge arrives in Dublin and starts to take his new friends.

The book can be obtained from the Cathedral Gift Shop.
