Summer Family Workshops at St Patrick’s Cathedral

Following up on the recent success of St Patrick’s Cathedral’s Easter family workshops, the education department has announced an exciting new programme of family friendly events that will be held in the Cathedral on Tuesdays throughout July and August.

They have gathered experienced education facilitators from around the world to introduce families to new crafts and experiences. These will range from book binding to tile making and manuscript illumination to felt tapestries. For those of you looking for something other than arts and crafts they are also offering a musical workshop.

A particularly special workshop, Cathedrals, Castles & Knights will take place on Tuesday 12th July which will see the cathedral linking up with the education department from Dublin Castle with participants spending the morning in the Cathedral designing their own model cathedrals, followed up by an afternoon in Dublin Castle. They are delighted to be working with another of Dublin’s important medieval institutions and look forward to working closely with them again in the future.
