’We Stand in Solidarity With Those Suffering in Italy and Myanmar’ – Archbishop of Dublin

Following Wednesday’s earthquakes in Italy and Myanmar, the Archbishop Michael Jackson has issued the following statement:

Amatrice, Italy
Amatrice, Italy

“We stand in solidarity with those who suffer bereavement and loss in Italy and in Myanmar at a time of intense natural disaster. Our prayers and our thoughts are with all who have lost their loved ones and their homes and the unique aspects of heritage and civilization of which they are custodians.”

Books of condolence have been opened in both Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. They will be available to sign over the coming days during cathedral opening hours.
