Press Releases / Archbishop Martin to Deliver Aware Resilience Talk in St Patrick’s Cathedral
The Aware Resilience Series 2017 begins on Thursday February 16 in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, with guest contributor Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, in conversation with Patsy McGarry, Religious Affairs Correspondent with the Irish Times. The talk starts at 7.30 pm with light refreshments served at 7.00 pm.
The Aware Resilience Series aims to highlight the importance of coping skills and resilience in life. The series features contributions from well–known public figures, and as well as creating awareness of Aware’s work in the area of mental health education, the series is also intended as a fundraising event.
In 2015, Aware relied on fundraising events and public/corporate donations for 85% of its annual funding. The organisation delivers a range of free support, education and information services nationwide, including key support for people who are managing an experience of depression or bipolar disorder.
Tickets cost €25 and are available from www.aware.ie or by calling Drew Flood on 086–6069736 or 01–2374919.
