Archbishops of Armagh and Dublin Express Condolences on the Death of Russian Orthodox Patriarch Alexy II

The Most Revd Alan Harper, OBE, Archbishop of Armagh, Primate of All Ireland and Metropolitan and the Most Revd John Neill, Archbishop of Dublin, Bishop of Glendalough, Primate of Ireland and Metropolitan wish to express to the clergy and people of the Russian Orthodox Church, and especially those in Ireland, their sincere sympathy on the announcement today of the death of His Holiness, Patriarch Alexiy II, following a period of illness, in Moscow. We assure the people of the Russian Orthodox Church of our prayers at this time of sadness and transition.
