The nature of children’s ministry is undergoing considered and considerable change in parishes right across the United Dioceses of Dublin & Glendalough.
Sunday School Society
The Sunday School Society continues to find new ways of encouraging, supporting and resourcing children’s ministry. They support the production of children’s ministry resources for children aged 0 to 12 years and part fund the annual Building Blocks Conference.
Children’s Ministry Network
The Children’s Ministry Network comprises representatives from each of the dioceses in the Church of Ireland. The network’s role lies in advocacy, training, supporting and resourcing. They provide a wide range of information and links to aid children’s ministry.
Diocesan Kids Summer Camp
The Dublin & Glendalough Diocesan Kid’s Camp 2018 runs from July 2 to 6 in the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, County Wicklow.
The theme of this year’s camp is ‘Living Adventure, Living Faith’. The kids will explore a range of questions: What is the foundation of our lives as Christians? How do we deal the with highs and lows, the exciting times and the challenges we experience in life?
Throughout the week participants will look at some stories of faith from the Bible and will explore what living our faith means in our own lives. They will explore this theme through daily worship and small group chats and there will be plenty of time for games and activities in the beautiful setting of Glencree.
Booking is now open and places are limited.
The cost is €170. Some bursaries are available for families in need. Please contact the Revd Abigail Sines, firstname.lastname@example.org.
