Urban Soul 2009 Launched
From the 7th-10th of July 2009, teenagers from Dublin, Belfast, United States, the UK & Africa who are passionate about social action will be coming together and working in projects like area clean-ups, painting over graffiti, running community events etc in the Dublin area. Welcome to Urban Soul, an active citizenship programme for teenagers 15 years old and above.
The underlying values that motivate Urban Soul are those taught and demonstrated by Jesus. His life and message show us that loving God is just the beginning and that we, too, are called to actively love those around us.
Partnering with local communities Urban Soul seeks to deliver hope, bestow dignity, bring equality of opportunity & inspire long-term change. The Urban Soul team comprises of various traditions & nationalities all reaching to achieve the same goal.
Alongside working with communities, there will be events on in the evenings. Urban Soul is pleased to announce the international speaker Mark Ritchie and Andy McCourt, International Singer and musician Paul Baloche, Kevin Max and Drive with us also.
It promises to be an exciting time in Dublin for everyone involved!
