Project 2010 Water of Life
As you know Bishops’ Appeal has decided to support water projects with Fields of Life, S.A.F.E. (Support for Afghan Further Education) and The Leprosy Mission (TLM) in 2010. We will give one third of non-designated income (that is income not donated for specific projects or emergencies) in the year to be shared equally between these three partners. (The remaining two thirds will be distributed among our other partners in the usual way.)
It was the intention to formally launch the project in January. However, following the tragic events in Haiti and the appeal by the Archbishops and Bishops for donations to help those affected, the Advisory Committee decided to delay the formal launch until the General Synod.
Leaflets and posters have been designed and are ready for printing. They will be available in the next few weeks should any Diocese, parish, school, youth group or other church body wish to have some to use in advance of the formal launch. Please contact the undersigned for a supply.
