New Zion Rector Announced

The Revd Stephen Farrell, currently curate assistant in Taney Parish, has been appointed Rector in Zion parish (Rathgar).

Speaking of his appointment, Stephen said "I am delighted to have been appointed as Rector of Zion and am full of hope for the future. Laura and I are very much looking forward to making our home in the parish and to getting to know our new church family."

Stephen has been the curate assistant in Taney Parish since June 2008. He was deaconed in June 2008 and priested in June 2009. He is 26 years old and married to Laura, a barrister. He studied law in Jesus College, Oxford before entering the Church of Ireland Theological Institute and studying theology in Trinity College Dublin. He was a scholar of both institutions.
