Vacancy for Organ Scholar in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin
Christ Church Cathedral has a wonderful music tradition that has been in existence since the very foundation of the first cathedral community nearly one thousand years ago. An integral part of this music tradition is the position of Organ Scholar who will play a part in the musical life of the cathedral, accompany services when required and work with both choirs. The position will be part of a music team comprising the Organist/Director of Music and the Assistant Organist.
The Organ Scholar will be required to attend all choral services as well as assist the organist during these services.
The Organ Scholar is provided with accommodation. An annual bursary of €6000 is offered by the cathedral. The position will be available from September 2011.
Applications will be accepted up to close of business on 1st August and interviews will take place in Dublin on 12th August. Flights and accommodation are the responsibility of the candidate.
