Back to Church Sunday 2012

Michael Harvey, coordinator for Back to Church Sunday in the UK and Ireland, will be in Ireland from February 28 until March 2. He will be here at the invitation of the Church of Ireland Council for Mission.

In 2011 over 90 Church of Ireland parishes signed up for the initiative and recorded a combined increase in attendance of over 3,000 people.

Michael Harvey spoke at the 2011 General Synod Mission Event to common acclaim and will be back to help churches get the most out of Back to Church Sunday 2012.

He will speak at a meeting in Kill o’ the Grange Parish Centre, Blackrock, on Thursday March 1 at 11am.

Those attending the meeting will hear some experiences of churches that have taken part and receive top tips about how to gear up their parish for participation.

The meetings will be equally suitable for any church member wanting to find out what participation in Back to Church Sunday involves or for those who have already taken part and are keen to build on the experience.

Further information is available from Rev Paul Hoey, secretary of the Mission Council. He can be contacted on (UK) 02866 329655, (RI) 0749192811 or at dphoey@btinternet.com.
