Heritage Week 2012 at St Doulagh’s Church

Come, see and listen to the story of St Doulagh’s Church, Malahide Road, Balgriffin through the ages in vision and word. The ancient yet vibrant church and site of Christian worship since around the sixth century has a number of events running during National Heritage week as follows:

Saturday August 18th from 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm.

Sunday August 19th, Tuesday August 21st and Wednesday August 22nd from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

On Wednesday evening at 8.00 pm a talk will be given by author and historian, Peter Harbison, on the “Images of  St Patrick”  using visual and historical sources. This will be followed by a time for questions and answers. 

On Saturday August 25th and Sunday August 26th from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm there will be tours and stories.

Admission is free, however donations to the Church Restoration Fund will always be welcome. Partial wheelchair access is available and parking available in the upper car park of St Doolagh’s Park opposite the Church. Bus numbers 42 and 43 stop outside the church.
