Hundreds flock to Narnia Festival in Christ Church Bray

Almost 1,000 visitors have walked “through the picture frame” to enter the wonder–filled land of Narnia since the festival opened in Bray on Ash Wednesday, organisers have revealed. Narnia festival coordinator, the Revd Baden Stanley, said they have been delighted with the response so far.

“People have already visited from different parts of the country and have been amazed at what they have seen,” he said. “Particular favourites of the younger folk are Aslan the Lion, Eustace the Dragon and the White Witch’s sleigh. The older folk are enjoying the Waterfall and large ship. It seems we have captured a mood of wonder and optimism at a time when so many are struggling with huge daily issues.”

The Narnia Festival is being held in the Church of Ireland parish of Christ Church on Church Road, Bray, County Wicklow. It runs daily until Easter Sunday, March 31, (except on Saturday February 23, when there is a Journey Through Narnia Concert at 7.00 pm and Sunday March 3 when there will be a Confirmation Service).
