New Regulations for Allocation of Stands at Dublin & Glendalough Diocesan Synods Announced
New protocols have been announced for the allocation of display stands at Diocesan Synods in Dublin and Glendalough.
The responsibility for the allocation of display stands rests with the Honorary Secretaries of Diocesan Synods.
As space is limited, priority in the initial allocation of stands will be given to those committees or organisations whose activities are reported within the Book of Reports.
If, having allocated spaces to such bodies, further spaces are available, the following will then be considered:
· Recognised Committees or organisations of the Church of Ireland
· Organisations whose work embraces the ethos of the Church of Ireland
All of the above committees or organisations must make an application for a stand annually to the Diocesan Office by the due date, using the appropriate application form.
In the event of oversubscription, the final decision regarding allocation of stands will rest with the Honorary Secretaries.
Committees or organisations who are allocated a stand, must man that stand and may disseminate information from that stand only. They may not share or allow another organization to use the stand.
In respect of the forthcoming Diocesan Synods, to be held on October 15 and 16 2013, applications for display stands must be submitted to the Diocesan Office by June 30. Applications received after that date will not be considered.
The decision of the Honorary Secretaries regarding the allocation will be relayed to the relevant committee or organisation as soon as possible after the receipt of the application, but no later than one month prior to the date of the event.
