They were invited by the Archbishop of Dublin and the Dublin University Far East Mission (DUFEM). The delegation’s first engagement was a lunch hosted by the Revd Darren McCalling, Dean of Residence and Chaplain in TCD, followed by a short welcome reception with music by the staff and students of the DIT Conservatory, led by Dr Kerry Houston, in St Patrick’s Deanery hosted by the Dean, the Very Revd Victor Stacey.

On Wednesday Archbishop Kwong joined the Archbishop of Dublin to meet school principals in the See House, before going on to meet the staff and students at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. In the evening Archbishop Kwong and Dean Der addressed the Dublin and Glendalough Diocesan Synods on aspects of becoming a Province of the Anglican Communion (Hong Kong being the youngest provice in the Communion) and on social action projects carried out from St John’s Cathedral in Hong Kong. On Thursday evening the delegation attended Evensong at TCD Chapel where Archbishop Kwong gave a short address.
