New Canons to be Installed at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday
Two new canons will be installed at Christ Church Cathedral this Sunday, December 8. The Revd Nigel Sherwood, rector of Arklow, Inch and Kilbride, and the Revd William Deverell, rector of Tallaght, will become members of the cathedral chapter at a service of Choral Evensong at 3.30 pm on Sunday. All are welcome to attend the service and light refreshments will be served in the Crypt afterwards.
Nigel Sherwood succeeds Canon John Clarke who retired as rector of Wicklow at the end of September. William Deverell succeeds Canon Ted Ardis, who took up the position of Dean’s Vicar at Saint Fin Barre’s cathedral and union of parishes, Cork.
