A major renovation and extension project is due to get underway at the school in July and as the school community prepares to look to the future with anticipation, they also want to honour the past.

The only school building exterior, as viewed from Church Avenue, will stay the same but the building inside will be totally transformed and modernised with a new extension being constructed. The school will be off–site for six months and is expected to reopen in its fantastic modern building in January 2015.

A special service of thanksgiving will be held in the church at 12.00 noon. This will be followed by refreshments in the schoolhouse.

Past pupils wishing to go along to capture their school days one last time before the work begins, should contact drumcondrans@gmail.com or phone (01) 8374886 by Friday June 13.
