Vacancy – Diocesan Youth Officer – Dublin & Glendalough
The United Dioceses of Dublin & Glendalough will shortly be considering the appointment of a Diocesan Youth Officer (Full time, 3 year contract).
The role will involve working with young people and youth in helping to build up faith, discipleship and leadership throughout the dioceses which covers Dublin, Wicklow and part of Kildare, working on a devolved basis with individual Rural Deaneries and clusters of parishes and their clergy.
The successful candidate will already have shown proven ability;
– with a passion to disciple, enthuse, motivate and nurture others in the Christian Faith.
– to train, support and encourage volunteer youth leaders, and facilitate clergy and parents.
– to demonstrate excellent people skills.
– to coordinate and organise events including outreach and weekends away.
– to understand and operate within the framework and ethos of the Church of Ireland.
