Deadline Looms for Young Adults Leadership Training Course
The closing date for the new Foundational Leadership Training Programme for Young Adults is this Friday, October 31. The ecumenical course has been developed by the Office for Evangelisation and Ecumenism of the Archdiocese of Dublin and the Church of Ireland Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough’s Ministry to Young Adults. It is aimed at young adults who wish to train and learn how to be active in their parishes and faith leaders with young people.
The course commences in November 2014 and concludes in April 2015. It will be ideal for young adults who wish to assume an active and intentional role in their local parish.
Participants will have a unique opportunity to explore and develop Gospel centred transformational leadership skills. These skills can be readily applied to the participants’ own context. The programme will involve a mix of input from highly experienced experts, reflective practices, mentoring, journaling, spiritual accompaniment, workshops and social immersion.
Participants will be required to produce a learning log as part of an overall portfolio to serve as a framework for integrative practice. This programme will endeavour to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to be Gospel centred transformational leaders and change agents within their own parishes, communities and pastoral settings.
Places on the course, which will run in St Paul’s Church, Arran Quay and Christ Church Cathedral, are limited and the cost is €120. The closing date for registration is October 31. To register and or find out more email ggallagher@abhouse.org or phone 01–8379253/242.
