RCB Appoints New Synod Officer
The RCB is very pleased to announce that Dr Catherine Smith (right) has been appointed to the position of Synod Officer shortly to be vacated by Mr Garrett Casey, who is resigning to take forward his legal career.
Catherine is a graduate of the University of Cork and is currently lecturing in English at the University of Limerick. She will be joining the Synod Department in time to attend this year’s General Synod and is looking forward to meeting the members of the General Synod at the Armagh City Hotel in May.
The Ven George Davison, Hon Secretary of General Synod and Chair of the appointment panel said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Catherine to the Synod team and look forward to working with her. We also thank Garrett Casey for his diligent service in the role and wish him well.’
