Vacancy – Parish Administrator – Christ Church Bray
Applications are invited for the position of Parish Administrator for Christ Church Bray.
Christ Church is a Church of Ireland parish and the role of Parish Administrator is a key function, particularly in regard to communications, administrative support and finance for the parish.
The Parish Administrator will be based in the Parish Office at Church Rd, Bray.
Working hours for the position will be 16 hours per week. Initially working hours will be Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm but hours may be spread over a five day week at a subsequent stage.
Employment will be on a ten month basis from the start of September to the end of June annually. The Parish Office will be closed for the months of July and August each year.
Key tasks will include;
· Administrative support and liaison with parish clergy, parish teams, Vestry and parishioners as required
· Daily, Weekly, Monthly and occasional administration tasks as set out in the Parish Administrator Job Specification (see below)
The ideal candidate will
· Be familiar with or have experience of the requirements of a parish administration role
· Have relevant experience of technology / computerised systems, including email, spread sheets, databases, accounts packages, on–line banking, group SMS / texts, etc.
· Ideally hold an ECDL qualification or equivalent
· Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Have experience as working as part of a team
· Have an ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
