17th November
St Doulagh’s Patronal Festival
St Doulagh’s Patronal Festival will be held in St Doulagh’s Church on St Doulagh’s Day, Friday November 17, at 8pm. The preacher will be the Very Rev Gerry Tanham, PP of Howth and former PP of Malahide (from 2001 to 2010) where he was very much involved in ecumenical work and was a very good friend of the parish.
St Doulagh’s is not only the oldest church in Ireland which is in regular weekly use, but stands at the centre of a huge development area stretching from the erstwhile Bewley’s Hotel in the west to Clongriffin in the east. It is a living community and the only place of worship in the north fringe of Dublin.
