The Revd Lesley Robinson.

The Revd Lesley Robinson has been appointed Rural Dean of Fingal in the Diocese of Dublin. Lesley is Rector of Clontarf and assumes the role in succession to Canon Robert Dean, former Rector of Swords, Donabate and Kilsallaghan, who retired in June.

Making the announcement, Archbishop Michael Jackson thanked Lesley for her willingness to undertake the work and responsibility of Rural Dean of Fingal. “Lesley has shown herself to be committed to creativity and compassion in parochial life. I have every confidence that the people and clergy in the Rural Deanery will benefit from her commitment and wisdom,” he said.

Lesley said she was looking forward to the opportunities presented by her new role. “I am honoured to have been appointed as Rural Dean of Fingal by Archbishop Jackson and look forward to assisting the different parish groupings in any way I can to build up the Kingdom of God among us, using our various resources and gifts,” she commented.

A native of the Midlands, Lesley has been Rector of Clontarf since 2013, having previously served as Priest–in–Charge of the Roscrea Group of Parishes and an a non–stipendiary Minister in the Clonfert and Birr Groups of Parishes, all in the Diocese of Limerick & Killaloe. She is a member of the United Diocesan Youth Council, the Diocesan Council for Mission and of the Diocesan Ministry of Healing Committee and the committee of the Church’s Ministry of Healing: Ireland. She is also an honorary Chaplain to the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. She has two adult daughters, Nicole and Danielle, and in her spare time enjoys nothing more than listening to good music, cheering on Roger Federer and relaxing with family and friends.
