Music in Calary
The next concert in Calary Church will take place at 8 pm on Sunday 22 July when Lorna Breen (soprano), Andrew Gavin (tenor) and Mairead Hurley (accompanist) will perform opera arias, Irish airs and pieces by Gilbert and Sullivan. Lorna is an accomplished young soprano from County Wicklow.
This concert is being held to raise much needed funds to support Sister Mary Killeen’s work for street children in the slums of Nairobi and there is the option of a delicious supper in the Church Room before the concert starts. The supper will begin at 6 pm sharp and the concert will start at 8 pm.
Tickets for the supper and concert are €40, while those for the concert on its own will be €18 and €15 for concessions and cam be booked from John (01) 2818146 or by emailing derekneilson@eircom.net.
