Dr. Mark Braverman is a Jewish American with deep family roots in the Holy Land. Dr. Braverman has lectured and written on the role of religious beliefs and theology in the search for a just peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and on the function of interfaith relations in the current discourse. He is the Executive Director of Kairos USA, an ecumenical organization of churches in the U.S. founded in response to the Kairos call of the Palestinian Christians. Dr. Braverman is Research Fellow in Systematic Theology and Ecclesiology at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He has been active ecumenically, serving on the Steering Committee of the World Council of Church’s Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum, and as an advisor to the Public Affairs Committee of the General Council of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
