Diocesan Synods of Dublin & Glendalough
Tuesday October 8 in Taney Parish Centre.
The Diocesan Synods of Dublin & Glendalough take place on Tuesday October 8 2019 in Taney Parish Centre. Synods will commence with a celebration of Holy Communion in Christ Church Taney at 3.30pm at which the Archbishop will give his address. The business of Synods will continue in the adjoining Parish Centre at 4.30pm.
Members of Synods should note that there will be no parking available in the church grounds but they may park in the grounds of Taney National School on Sydenham Villas or on one side of Stoney Road.
This year members of Synods will meet in break out sessions during the evening. The sessions are designed to encourage discussion and gain insight into the views of members in four key areas. These include young people and the Church, the Church and other faiths, the Church and the environment, and social justice.
Each member of Synods has been allocated a discussion topic and has received their discussion paper in their Synod mailing.
Members of Synods will receive the Book of Reports by post. For those who wish to view it online, the Book of Reports can be downloaded here.
