National Service for Remembrance Sunday

The National Service of Remembrance will take place this Sunday, November 10 2019, Remembrance Sunday, in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, at 3.15pm.

The service will be attended by President Michael D Higgins and Mrs Sabina Higgins. It will be led by the Dean, the Very Revd William Morton and the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Revd Dr Michael Jackson will preside.

Readings will be given by the Polish Ambassador, H.E. Ms Anna Sochańska and the British Ambassador, H.E. Mr Robin Barnett CMG. The preacher will be Canon David Oxley. The Government will be represented by the Minister for Justice and Equality Charlie Flanagan. The Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin will also be in attendance.

The congregation will include both serving members of the Defence Forces and veterans.
