Archdeacon George Davison Confirmed as Bishop–designate of Connor
The House of Bishops, at its meeting in Dublin today (Wednesday March 11), confirmed the election of the Ven George Davison, Archdeacon of Belfast, as Bishop–designate of the Diocese of Connor. His consecration will follow in due course.
Archdeacon Davison was elected Bishop of Connor by the Episcopal Electoral College on Monday February 17 this year. He succeeds Bishop Alan Abernethy who retired at the end of December.
