Lockdown Date Night – St Matthias’ Church Offers Online Marriage Course

St Matthias’ Parish in Killiney has your lockdown date night sorted. In a double first, Tanya and William Olhausen are running the new Marriage Course and this is the first time it is being run online.

Starting tomorrow evening, Wednesday May 6, at 8pm Tanya and William are inviting couples to set aside an hour and a half, grab a glass of wine and some nibbles and join them on Zoom. They will welcome and introduce the session before watching the evening’s presentation. (There is a trailer for the Marriage Course below).

There will then be questions around the evening’s topic for each couple to discuss together. There is no group discussion – people speak with their partners with their devices muted.

There are seven sessions in all. Each person will need a manual which can be collected or posted if they live too far from Killiney. Two manuals cost €15.

“Tanya and I hope that this initiative will make doing the Marriage Course accessible and fun for everyone. This is a marriage enrichment course designed for couples of any age group and in any length of marriage. If couples require further support or assistance we will advertise further resources and organisations that might be able to help,” William explains adding that this is a way of serving the church and the wider community.

Couples can register and get further details from stmatthiaskilliney@gmail.com
