Trinity Sunday – Christ Church Patronal Service, Archbishop Preaches in Four Churches and Other Worship Opportunities

This Sunday, June 7, is Trinity Sunday. Trinity Sunday is the patronal festival of Christ Church Cathedral and all are welcome to join online on their webcam at 11am – https://christchurchcathedral.ie/worship/video-stream-1/ The service will be celebrated by Archbishop Michael Jackson while the guest preacher will be Dee Huddleston, Church and Community Officer with Christian Aid.

The Archbishop will be preaching four different sermons for Trinity Sunday in four different locations: Arklow, Howth, Zion and St Patrick’s Cathedral, where he is in residence. These services have been pre–recorded and you can view them as follows:

RTÉ Service for Trinity Sunday

A Service of Morning Prayer will be broadcast on RTÉ One television and RTÉ Radio 1 Extra on Trinity Sunday, 7th June, between 11.00am and 11.45am.  The service will be led by the Revd Abigail Sines, Dean’s Vicar at Christ Church Cathedral, and the Revd Dr Anne–Marie O’Farrell (harpist) assisted by a small group of musicians. Parish Online Worship

Parishes throughout the dioceses are offering worship online on Sundays and during the week. Details of where the services can be accessed are available in the directory below. Just choose a service and click on the link provided.

Some of the services listed in the directory below are livestreamed and others are recorded and available to watch at any time (and not just on Sunday!). Those on Facebook Live are also available to watch later in most cases. Some parishes are using Zoom for live virtual services and email addresses are provided to obtain the information to join in – all are welcome.

We are aware that some people may not be confident online or have access to broadband. If you know someone who would like to watch a service this weekend, copy the link to the service and send it to them as a text message or WhatsApp. Once they have a smartphone they will be able to watch on their phones.
