Vacancy – Youth Pastor – Holy Trinity Church Rathmines (Dublin)

Holy Trinity Church is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Pastor with a deep love and passion for the Christian faith.

The role of the Youth Pastor is to build a sense of community within the Youth of the church aged between 12-16 that provides an opportunity for both spiritual and social development.

The Youth Pastor will have an active role in our staff meetings and will participate in staff planning and vision.

 

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to

· Creating a welcoming, fun and enthusiastic environment for the Youth to connect with one another and grow in their faith.

· Lead and manage weekly Youth group gatherings focused around biblical discipleship, teaching and discussion.

· Work with other Youth mentors to create a yearly plan with regular social and spiritual mission orientated events.

· Support and encourage Youth mentors in their role creating a team environment with a common purpose.

· Ensuring all Youth mentors are Garda vetted and attend relevant child protection training.

· Connect with Youth and their families at our Sunday worship gatherings and encourage the Youth to participate in worship and volunteering in some ministry areas.

· Work with Children's Ministry leaders to ensure a smooth transition into the Youth programme.

· Work in partnership with the Reverend and Operations Manager of Holy Trinity to create and fulfill various outreach projects and events.

· Communicate in timely and effective ways with the Youth and their families along with Holy Trinity's staff members.

· Provide communication and publicity for Youth events through our website and social media.

 

Working Hours and Benefits

 

Flexible working hours - 12-15hrs per week (this will relate to the yearly plan created)

Salary will be in line with experience and will be discussed at interview.

Previous experience in Youth work is preferred but not essential.
