Merrion Square Debates 1927 – Influences and Legacies
As part of the St Ann’s 300 celebrations, historian Patrick Hugh Lynch will deliver a public lecture on Tuesday November 7 at 1.15pm. His talk will offer an insight into an Ireland which had changed so much during the Great War. Learn that the men and women involved in the Great War were as patriotic as those who stayed at home and pursued a course of assertive nationalism. The Houses of the Oireachtas are extremely rich in sources about the Great War but are very rarely used. This lecture shall show Patrick’s personal appreciation to the Late Gregory O’Connor – Archivist Extraordinaire. All are welcome.
