Anglicanism in Global Contexts – Join Our Online Event

Our diocesan exploration of Anglicanism throughout the world as part of the Lambeth for All initiative continues on Thursday December 7 with an online event at 7pm. Hosted by Archbishop Michael Jackson, the webinar will include contributions from the Rt Revd Dr Jo Bailey Wells who is coordinating the Lambeth Calls initiative, Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy of the Anglican Diocese of Perth and Nicholas Pande who will talk about the Global Communion Forest. More locally, Frances Fitzgerald MEP will talk about combatting violence against women. All are welcome to join the online event. You can register by emailing revtobrien@gmail.com.

Lambeth for All invites the people of Dublin and Glendalough to join Anglicans around the globe as they explore the themes of the Lambeth Calls. The Lambeth Calls emerged from the 2022 Lambeth Conference and open up the conversations that were had at the conference to all Anglicans. The aim of each is to deepen faithfulness to God, advance the ministry of the communion and enable wider participation by churches and communities around the world. Throughout the Anglican Communion people are bringing the Lambeth Calls to life in their own contexts.

The 10 calls are: Discipleship, Environment and Sustainable Development, Anglican Identity, Safe Church, Science and Faith, Human Dignity, Christian Unity, Mission and Evangelism, Inter Faith, and Reconciliation.

This online event follows on from local conversations that have taken place a four locations around the dioceses.
