The Revd Steven Brunn Appointed Priest in Charge of Dun Laoghaire
The Revd Steven Brunn.

The Revd Steven Brunn has been appointed Priest in Charge of the parish of Dun Laoghaire in the Diocese of Dublin. Steve is currently Dean of Residence at Trinity College Dublin.

Steve grew up in the North East of England and trained as a mechanical engineer before moving into the photography industry.

Before joining the Anglican Church Steve was minister of a large inner city church in Aberdeen serving young families and many students. Alongside this he was a teaching assistant at Aberdeen University. He has also taught at the ‘Centre for Youth Ministry’ at Cambridge focusing on subjects such as theology, art, film and identity and the church in postmodern west. He worked at Royal Holloway University of London as a counsellor whilst serving his curacy.

He studied theology in Dallas, Texas and in Aberdeen. He trained for the ordained ministry in the Church of England in Ridley Hall, Cambridge, and has already covered a range of interesting areas, including curacy in St Peter’s Chertsey, counsellor at Royal Holloway University and incumbent of St Mary’s Oatlands in the Diocese of Guildford. Steve has been Dean of Residence at Trinity College Dublin for the past eight years.

Commenting on his appointment, Steve said: “My last eight years have been a privilege and a joy to serve at this historical university, and I have gained so much in my ministry there. Moving forward, I am delighted and exited to be able to serve the community at Christ Church and the wider Dun Laoghaire community”.

Steve is married to Sharon and they have three children, Joel, Emily and Zoe.
