Solas 2024 – An Ecumenical Celebration of the Coming of New Light

SOLAS 2024: ‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.’ Friday, 20 December 2024, 6pm, St. Finian’s Church. We live in seemingly ever deepening darkness. And yet as Christians we believe that in Jesus Christ the light has come into the world. On the eve of the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, we gather to witness to that. All are welcome. Solas is organised by the church communities of the Lower Leeson Street, Rathmines area and in conjunction with the Dublin Council of Churches. Seasonal refreshments will be served after the service.
