Safeguarding Trust Training January–February 2026
A number of Safeguarding Trust Training sessions for staff and volunteers and for Safeguarding Trust Panel Members has been organised for early in the New Year.
Safeguarding Trust Training provides essential training for staff and volunteers in the Church of Ireland’s Safeguarding Trust framework. The training will cover best practice in creating safe environments for children.
These sessions will take place online as follows:

This is aimed at all new and existing parish staff and volunteers who have contact with children. Please note this training is not for incumbents and SGT Panel Member training is separate.

Two training dates for Panel Members are available in person at Whitechurch Parish Church, delivered by Dr Niall Moore, Safeguarding Manager for Policy and Training:

This training is for new and existing Safeguarding Trust Panel Members only.

Dublin and Glendalough’s Safeguarding Compliance Officer, Clark Brydon, has requested that these dates be circulated widely in parishes and that those who need to attend are encouraged to register. Each parish has been circulated with information.
