Battle of Clontarf Commemoration at Church of St John the Baptist

President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina arrive at the Church of St John the Baptist for the service commemorating the 1,000th anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf. They were greeted by the Rector, the Revd Lesley Robinson and select vestry member, John Patten and were given a guard of honour by the local Cubs and Scouts.
